JB 92 Girls Finish Second in Gateway Shootout
The JB 92 girls went 1-1-1 in pool play, including a victory over Carrera - Varvaro, and earned enough points to make the final of the Gateway Shootout in St. Louis. In the final they faced rival Tulsa Soccer Club - Red. TSC got a lucky header goal, which ricocheted off the post, from a corner kick taken near the end of the first half. That lone goal ended up being the game winner in a toughly contested match. Congratulations to the JB 92 girls for a strong showing in St. Louis!!!
The U13’s also played well in St. Louis. Although they did not make the final, they came away with a tie and also the strongest finish of any of the teams in their pool against the SLSG team that came out on top. For the first out-of-town tournament for several of the new players on the team, it was a great experience. We’re looking forward to many great things from this team in future tournaments!
